New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting via video conferencing at 11 am today with District Magistrates of different districts of the country.
Through this meeting, the PM will directly take feedback from the DMs regarding progress and present the status of the implementation of government schemes and programs in the district.
“The interaction will help review the performance and ascertain the challenges that are being faced,” read the official statement by the Prime Minister’s Office.
“It is aimed at achieving saturation of various schemes by various departments in the districts in mission mode, in convergence with all stakeholders,” PMO’s press release further stated.
Under the leadership of PM Modi, the Government has continuously taken several steps to overcome the asymmetry in growth & development across the country. This is in line with the commitment of the Government towards raising the living standards of all citizens and ensuring inclusive growth for all, the statement also said.

On Friday, the PM had inaugurated a new circuit house near the Somnath Temple via video conferencing.
Earlier this month, the PM had chaired a high-level meeting with the concerned officials regarding the situation of pandemic in the country. The Health Secretary had presented a detailed report and highlighted the surge in cases that were being reported globally.
The high level meeting had also discussed several efforts taken by the Central government in terms of supporting States in managing the challenges that would arise form increasing cases.
Report regarding support of health infrastructure from Centre to State like that of testing capacity, availability of oxygen and ICU beds, and buffer stock of covid essential drugs under Emergency Covid Response Package (ECRP-II) was also presented by the Health Secretary during the meeting.
