New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Schloss Elmau, Germany at the invitation of the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz. This visit is scheduled for June 26-27, for the G7 Summit under the German Presidency, reports MEA.
The Group of Seven (G7) will get together for the Leaders' Summit to talk about ways to address some of the most urgent issues the world is facing.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to speak during two summit sessions on topics like environment, energy, climate change, food security, health, gender equality, and democracy.
Other democracies like Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal, and South Africa have also been invited in an effort to strengthen international cooperation on these crucial issues. Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of some of the participating countries.
Post the G7 summit, Prime Minister will travel to the United Arab Emirates on June 28, to offer his condolences to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and former president of the UAE. The PM will also use the occasion to congratulate H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on becoming the new ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the UAE.
The UAE visit is anticipated to contribute to the reaffirmation of India's relations with the Gulf, particularly the UAE, in light of the region's strong responses to the Prophet's criticisms made by then-BJP spokespersons. Unlike Qatar, Kuwait and Iran; UAE and Saudi Arabia did not summon Indian envoy to raise concerns. Additionally, both nations applauded the union government's action against the expelled BJP spokespersons.
