New Delhi: A day after India scripted history on Covid-19 vaccination, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 10 AM on Friday. India is only the second country after China to reach the 1 billion Covid-19 vaccinations milestone. It will be PM Modi’s 10th address to the nation since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020.

The landmark vaccinaton figure was achieved in nine months despite many doubting the country's capability, Modi said.

Around three-quarters of adults in the country of 1.3 billion people have had one shot and around 30 per cent are fully vaccinated, according to the government.
