"Have a look at the majestic 'Statue of Unity', India's tribute to the great Sardar Patel," he tweeted.

Modi said he was privileged to start the day with a visit this morning toning at Kevadia Eco Park where he was mesmerised by river Narmada.

Speaking about conversations, he said: "In our culture it is believed that development can be done while protecting the environment and it is evident here. Nature is dear to us, it is our jewel."

Ekta Nursery was also in his today’s itinerary which is in close proximity to the iconic Statue of Unity.

This morning he also sought blessings at Garudeshwar Dutt Temple in the Narmada district.
