Prime Minister Modi has been involved in the creation of his figure from the beginning of the process and was pleased with the final results when he came face to face with himself in New Delhi on Monday.
"What can I say? As far as art is concerned, the Madame Tussauds team is exceptional at what they do," said Mr. Modi. "What Lord Brahma does normally is what the artists there are doing. Today, I had an opportunity as the prime servant of my people to meet my wax figure."
Prime Minister Modi will join other contemporary world leaders at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, including United States President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping as well as political giants of the past such as Mahatma Gandhi.
Dressed in Prime Minister Modi's trademark cream-coloured chooridar kurta and sleeveless jacket, the statue strikes a namaste pose.
