Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant visit to Maharashtra and Goa on Thursday. This visit encompasses a series of events and inaugurations such as the inauguration of the new Darshan Queue Complex at the Saibaba Samadhi Temple temple, the launch of the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana’ benefitting more than 86 lakh farmer beneficiaries, and the inauguration of the 37th National Games, being held in Goa for the very first time, the Prime Minister's Office informed in a statement.
PM Modi's Detailed Schedule:
Maharashtra
- 1:00 PM: Arrival in Shirdi, Ahmednagar District.
- 1:30 PM: Prayer and darshan at Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple.
- 2:00 PM: Inauguration of the Darshan Queue Complex at the temple.
- 2:30 PM: Jal Pujan (water consecration) of Nilwande Dam.
- 3:15 PM: Public program in Shirdi, including the inauguration, dedication, and foundation stone laying of development projects worth Rs 7500 crore.
Goa
- 6:30 PM: Arrival in Goa.
- 6:45 PM: Inauguration of the 37th National Games at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Margao.
- 7:30 PM: Address to athletes participating in the Games.

Darshan Queue Complex At Shirdi Temple
The visit commences with the Prime Minister's arrival in Shirdi, Ahmednagar District, at approximately 1 PM. During this time, he will partake in a prayer and darshan at the revered Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple. The visit carries a momentous occasion as PM Modi will inaugurate the state-of-the-art Darshan Queue Complex, a spacious and modern facility catering to the comfort of devotees, as per the PMO.
"It is equipped with several waiting halls with a cumulative seating capacity of more than ten thousand devotees. It has provision of air-conditioned public amenities like cloak rooms, toilets, booking counters, prasad counters, information centre etc. The foundation stone of this new Darshan Queue Complex was laid by the Prime Minister in October, 2018," the PMO statement read.
PM Modi To Perform Jal Pujan Of Nilwande Dam
Subsequently, at around 2 PM, PM Modi will perform the Jal Pujan (water consecration) of the Nilwande Dam and dedicate the canal network of the dam to the nation. The canal network, extending 85 kilometers along the left bank, will provide vital water resources to 182 villages across seven Tehsils, thereby facilitating pipe distribution networks. The development of Nilwande Dam, conceived in 1970, is underway with a budget of approximately Rs 5,177 crore, according to the PMO.
At 3:15 PM, a public gathering in Shirdi will witness the inauguration and dedication to the nation of a slew of developmental projects, collectively valued at around Rs 7,500 crore. These projects span diverse sectors, including health, rail, road, and oil and gas.
PM Modi To Introduce 'Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana'
During this event, the Prime Minister will introduce the 'Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana', designed to benefit over 86 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Maharashtra. It will provide an additional annual sum of Rs 6,000 to these beneficiaries.
Other noteworthy projects that will be inaugurated and dedicated during the visit, including the Ayush Hospital at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital, the electrification of the KurduwadiLatur Road railway section spanning 186 kilometers, the extension of the 3rd and 4th railway lines connecting Jalgaon to Bhusaval (24.46 kilometers), the fourlaning of the Sangli to Borgaon section of NH166 (PackageI), and additional facilities at the Manmad Terminal of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Maternal & Child Health Wing at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital. As part of the program, Ayushman cards and Svamitva cards will be distributed to beneficiaries.
PM Modi To Inaugurate 37th National Games In Goa
The day culminates in Goa, where, at approximately 6:30 PM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 37th National Games at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao. This marks the first time when Goa has the privilege of hosting these prestigious games. The National Games will run from October 26 to November 9, with over 10,000 athletes participating in more than 43 sports disciplines across 28 venues.
