Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended his 11-day fast on January 22, as the new Ram Lalla idol was dedicated at the Ayodhya shrine, news agency PTI reported. On January 12, the Prime Minister began an 11-day religious fast.

The Prime Minister also performed 'aarti' of the idol, 'parikrama' of the god, and 'dandvat pranam'. The childhood form of Ram Lalla was shown at the temple.  Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir was built in traditional Nagara style and is 380 feet long (east-west), 250 feet wide, and 161 feet tall. It is supported by 392 pillars and 44 doorways. The temple's pillars and walls have finely carved representations of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple, which was shown live on television to lakhs of people around the country.

Army helicopters showered flower petals over the freshly completed Janmabhoomi temple at the 'pran pratishtha' ritual, a watershed moment in India's political and religious history.

Taking to X, PM Modi stated: "The extraordinary moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla's life in Ayodhya Dham is going to leave everyone emotional. It is my great pleasure to be a part of this divine programme. Hail Siya Ram!"

At the end of the ritual, Modi prostrated before the idol.

Modi took part in the 'pran pratishtha' ceremonies with Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, leader Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat.

Modi then left the sanctum sanctorum to address a crowd of roughly 8,000 people, including seers, Ram Janmabhoomi campaign supporters, and personalities from the entertainment, sports, and industrial sectors.

He was also scheduled to visit Kuber Tila and speak with temple building workers.
