On stressing the need to look after poor, PM said, ”Poor of this country is my family and the priority is to ensure that their pain are addressed. Till 20th April every state, district, locality will be assessed and some important activities will be allowed to resume after that keeping in mind the livelihood of poor and especially, daily wage earners.”
"If you look at it from the economic point of view, it would look like a huge cost. But the lives of the people of India is far more valuable. Today the world is appreciating the way India is moving forward," Modi said in his third televised speech.
He also appealed to private and public establishments to not sack anyone and ensure empathy with employees during this tough time.
"It is also rabi season and farmers have to cut their agricultural produce, hence, the new guidelines will be made keeping in mind their situation and problems. It will make sure that they have to face little difficulties and essentials from medicines to ration have been made available. There will be efforts to solve the supply chain issues and health infrastructure is also being improved,"
While balancing life with livelihood, PM said those places which have lesser chances of infection will be given a limited access for operating activities.
