New Delhi: Air India has again made to the headlines. This time for its Delhi-bound flight from Bagdogra on Sunday for it suffered air-conditioner dysfunction.

The malfunctioning of the air conditioners led to protests from the passengers who were seen fanning themselves amid flight with magazines and newspapers.

The passengers also complained of suffocation and nausea because of the heat and no ventilation.

The flight, AI-880, had 168 passengers and made a safe landing in Delhi.

Speaking to media, an Air India spokesperson said that “the passengers complained of malfunctioning of the air conditioning system in the flight and they also protested”.




The flight took off around 6 pm from Bagdogra airport and reached here on time, the spokesperson said.

Flight took off on Sunday at 1.50 pm from Bagdogra and landed in Delhi 25 minutes before scheduled time(of 4.05 pm) at 3.40 pm

Some people took to Twitter to complain about the air conditioning problem in the flight.

People were angry for the paid a hefty amount for the flight, but didn’t get the promised services. Some also sought a refund from the airlines.
