BSF Jawan Accidentally Crosses Border, Detained By Pakistani Rangers

Constable PK Singh of the 182nd battalion was arrested by the Pakistan Rangers across the Ferozepur border on Wednesday while he was escorting farmers.

A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was detained by Pakistan Rangers after he unintentionally crossed the Punjab border, officials said on Thursday. Discussions are currently underway between the two forces to facilitate his release.

Constable PK Singh of the 182nd battalion was arrested by the Pakistan Rangers across the Ferozepur border on Wednesday, PTI quoted officials as saying.

The jawan was escorting farmers when he lost his way and entered the Pakistani territory. He was soon taken into custody while he was resting in the shade, the report added.
