New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) in a joint operation with Punjab Police recovered a Pakistani drone from the outskirts of Dal village in Tarn Taran district on Wednesday, news agency ANI reported. The recovered drone is a quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 300 RTK series, BSF officials said.

“Today, on 14th June, during morning hours, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF with Punjab Police on the outskirts of Dal village, Tarn Taran district. During the search at 9am, a drone was recovered from the farming field adjacent to the village. The recovered drone is a Quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 300 RTK series,” officials of BSF Punjab Frontier said.

The development comes a couple of days after the BSF recovered a Pakistani drone on the outskirts of Shaidpur Kalan village in the Amritsar district.

An official spokesperson of the BSF Punjab Frontier said that the recovered drone was a Quadcopter of model DJO Matrice 300 RTK series, as reported by ANI.

Earlier on Saturday, the BSF thwarted another attempt at drug smuggling from Pakistan to India, days after recovering a Pakistani drone carrying narcotics in Punjab. A drone along the International Border near Rai village was recovered by the forces on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

"On June 10, at around 4 am BSF troops deployed at the border reported an Indian space violation by a drone coming from the Pakistan side. Troops also heard the sound of something having fallen in a farming field in depth area near the Rai village in Amritsar. As per the laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted,” Punjab Frontier's PRO said in a statement.
