New Delhi: Due to the ongoing protest against Agnipath, several trains have been cancelled mainly on the Northern, Western, and Central Railway. According to the Ministry of Railways, 208 Mail Express and 379 passenger trains were cancelled. 4 Mail Express and 6 passenger trains were partially cancelled. There have been no diversions of trains. Several trains especially in the Central Railway and Southern Railway have been rescheduled. 


The Northern Railway on its Twitter handle posted a list of 18 East-bound trains that have been cancelled and further posted a list of 71 Delhi area-bound commuter trains (including return services) that have also been cancelled for today in the wake of the protests against the Centre's Agnipath recruitment scheme.

Central Railway cancelled at least three trains, several trains have been rescheduled including - Jaynagar Express which was scheduled to depart at 11:30 am, Patna Express scheduled for 2:30 pm, and Raxaul Antyodaya Express scheduled for 4:40 pm. Several trains have been rescheduled, including, Panvel-Gorakhpur Express which was to leave at 3:50 pm and will now leave at 5:50 pm on June 20. The Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Express will leave at 9:35 pm today now instead of 6:35 pm.  






Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu due to the Bharat Bandh, the issue of Platform tickets is restricted at all Railway stations in the Chennai division of Southern Railway to safeguard the security of passengers.
