Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee on Friday took a swipe at Amit Shah and said this is not a coal scam or cattle scam, this is Home Minister scam and the he needs to take responsibility for it, news agency ANI reported. "How can cows be trafficked in presence of Border Security Force (BSF)," Abhishek Banerjee asked, alleging that money from cow trafficking has directly gone to Shah.

After being questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the alleged coal pilferage scam for seven hours earlier in the day, the TMC national general secretary said that if allegations against him are proved right then he is ready to accept the death penalty.

“I dare him to prove I have committed a wrong and put me behind bars," he said.

Vowing to strengthen his party's further movements against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Abhishek Banerjee said that he won't bow down to threats and summonses of the central agencies like ED, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and others.

"If needed, I am ready to face questioning 30 times, but will not bow my head before the BJP. I have attacked his (Amit Shah's) son over the national flag issue but that does not mean the ED and CBI can be used to threaten me," news agency PTI quoted him as saying.

The TMC leader also dared Shah to prove that he has committed a wrong and put him behind bars. Furthermore, Abhishesk also alleged that the country's Home Minister has only one job, that is to indulge in horse trading of MLAs to topple elected state governments of Opposition parties.

Earlier today, Abhishek Banerjee reached ED's office at CGO Complex in Salt Lake near Kolkata around 11 am after a five-member team of probe agency reached Kolkata on Thursday night to question the TMC leader.

A large police contingent was deployed at the CGO complex. Abhishek Banerjee was questioned by the ED earlier as well in connection with this case.
