The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday moved the Delhi High Court alleging that he was not allowed to meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail.

The High Court has issued notice and sought a response from Tihar Jail on Singh's plea. The case is listed ofr next hearing on Monday.

This development just comes just a day before the Supreme Court is set to resume Delhi CM's bail plea.

On August 23, the Supreme Court had deferred till September 5 hearing on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's pleas seeking bail and challenging the arrest by the CBI in the alleged excise policy scam.

A bench of justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan will resume hearing tomorrow. The Delhi CM after his arrest has often reported a drop in sugar and wieght loss while in Tihar jail. While praying for interim bail, the counsel for Delhi CM has told the court that he is facing health issues inside the jail.

On August 14, the top court refused to grant interim bail to Kejriwal in the case and sought a response from the CBI on his plea challenging his arrest.

The AAP chief was arrested by the CBI on June 26. He moved the apex court after the Delhi High Court upheld his arrest by the CBI. The CBI has claimed that the entire policy was changed with manipulation at the behest of Arvind Kejriwal and thus his custodial interrogation is imperative for the investigation to reach its logical conclusion.

On August 5, the Delhi High Court upheld the arrest of the chief minister as legal. The court said that there was no malice in the acts done by the CBI which was able to demonstrate how the AAP supremo could influence witnesses who could muster the courage to depose only after his arrest.
