In view of the the upcoming festive season, the Gautam Buddh Nagar traffic police has cautioned people against leaving their cars or motorcycles in no parking zones and said that such vehicles will either be penalised or towed away. Route diversions will also be put in place in Noida and Greater Noida during the upcoming festivals of Dhanteras, Diwali and Bhai Dooj, said the Noida traffic police in an advisory issued on Wednesday night, reported news agency PTI.
Atta market, Sector 27 market, Indira Market, GIP Mall, Gardens Galleria Mall, DLF Mall of India, Centre Stage Mall, Shopprix Mall, around Sector 18 market, Logix City Centre Mall, Botanical Garden and near Hoshiarpur in Noida, will observe traffic diversions due to presence of heavy traffic during this time of the year.
The diversions in Greater Noida will take place ar Surajpur, Kisan Chowk, Pari Chowk, Jagat Farm, Kasna and Dadri towns, among other places.
"People would be able to park their vehicles in designated parking zones and at the various multilevel parkings in the city like the one in Sector 18," police said, as reported by PTI.
"If a vehicle is found parked in a no parking zone, e-challans will be issued and if the vehicle is not removed from the road, then legal action would be taken by towing it away with a crane," they added.
The police also made a request to the people to comply with the traffic advisory issued by them during the festivities.
Dhanteras, also known as Dhantrayodashi falls on Saturday, November 10. While Diwali will be celebrated on November 12 and Bhai Dooj on November 14, and Wednesday, November 15.
