New Delhi: Political strategist Prashant Kishore has hit back at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the latter’s remark alleging Kishore of having ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Taking a jibe at the Janata Dal (United) leader, Kishore said that “age is showing its effect on Nitish”.

“He wants to say something but he speaks something else.If I was working on BJP agenda why would I speak of strengthening the Congress?” Kishore said, quoted by news agency ANI.

“He is getting delusional & politically isolated. He's surrounded by those whom he can't trust,” he added.

Kishore’s statement came after CM Nitish Kumar had accused him of having ties with the BJP.

The Bihar Chief Minister dismissed Prashant Kishor's claim that he spurned his request to ‘lead’ the Janata Dal (United). “It's false. Let him speak whatever he wants, we've nothing to do with it. 4-5 yrs back he had told me to merge with Congress. He has gone to BJP & is acting as per it...." Nitish said.

Kishor, who is on a 3,500-km-long Jan Suraaj 'pada-yatra' covering every nook and corner of the state, had made the remarks in a remote part of West Champaran district, reported news agency PTI.

While addressing a gathering at Jamunia village in the area, Kishor had said, “When I met Nitish Kumar a few days ago, he asked me to rejoin JD(U) and work with him. ‘You are my political heir’, the CM told me, asking to withdraw my campaign.”
