New Delhi: At the time when grand old party Congress is striving to unit other opposition leaders against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, regular meetings between NCP and saffron party leaders raise several questions. NCP chief Sharad Pawar today met BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today.

Earlier on July 17, NCP chief Sharad Pawar had met PM Narendra Modi. However, at that time Pawar had called it a courtesy call. Now, exactly 17 days after that meeting, the NCP chief Sharad Pawar met Home Minister Amit Shah.

The meeting took place hours after Pawar's daughter and NCP MP Supriya Sule attended the breakfast hosted by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday morning. Supriya Sule was seen standing next to Rahul Gandhi in that meeting.

While the Maharashtra corridors are curious to know the political significance of this meeting with Amit Shah, sources have informed that this meeting has no political meaning. According to sources, Pawar will meet the Home Minister regarding floods and Covid situation in the state.

Last month, Sharad Pawar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, and discussed the newly formed cooperation ministry.

Since the, speculations are rife that meetings between NCP and BJP leaders can also lead to some changes in Maha Vikas Aghadi. Sharad Pawar had also met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh along with Congress leader AK Antony that time.
