New Delhi: A huge ruckus was observed at the Badlapur station in Mumbai, as commuters staged protests against delayed local trains, which is called the life-line of Mumbaikars.


Commuters in large numbers flocked around the railway tracks and stopped the trains approaching at the station.

Indian Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu also took note of the situation and said, "GM DRM, officers directed early morning to help passengers in Badlapur, sort out their problems.Requesting all not to agitate, all steps taken."




The commuters got agitated after then train services came to a halt and no train was running for more than half-an-hour due to a signal failure at Bhivpuri station. Due to peak hours, a large amount of commuters waiting for the trains kept gathering and got agitated.

The delay had occurred after a signal failure at Bhivpuri station which meant there was no train running for more than half an hour during the peak hours. Locals who were agitated by then, gathered together and protested on the train tracks.

After much furore, the train services finally resumed and the protesters were dispersed from the tracks.
