Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and a BJP politician, has asked the state government to take action in the matter of the disappearance of 26 girls from a children's home in Bhopal that is purportedly functioning without authorization. Taking to X, Chouhan stated: "The case of the disappearance of 26 girls from a children's home operating without permission in Parwalia police station area of Bhopal has come to my notice."

"Considering the seriousness and sensitivity of the matter, I urge the government to take cognizance and take immediate action," he added.

The incident came to light when the chairman of the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Priyank Kanungo, paid a surprise visit to the Anchal Girls' Hostel in the Parwalia district on the outskirts of Bhopal. When he reviewed the register, he discovered that it had entries for 68 girls, but 26 of them were missing. Anil Mathew, the director of the children's home, was unable to provide a suitable explanation when asked about the missing girls. Following this, the police were notified, and Parvaliya police have filed a FIR on this incident.

Meanwhile, a FIR has been filed at Bhopal's Parwaliya Sadak Police Station under provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, charging Anil Methew, the manager of the children's home.

The FIR further alleged that the children's home was not registered and was not managed in accordance with the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

CM Mohan Yadav Taking Revenge On Shivraj Chouhan: Jitu Patwari

Earlier on Friday, Jitendra Patwari, President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, stated that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was pursuing vengeance on his predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan by dismissing personnel appointed by him. Patwari, who recently replaced Kamal Nath as the party's state unit president following the election fiasco, questioned Yadav's 'motive' while calling the move 'internal politics' of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is taking revenge from former MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The collectors and officers appointed by the former CM are getting removed by the current. This is the internal politics of the BJP," Patwari informed media.
