New Delhi: Amid noisy scenes in Lok Sabha today, Speaker Sumitra Mahaj accepted TDP's no-trust Motion against Modi government. Mahajan said the discussion on no confidence motion to take place on Friday in Lok Sabha.

Lok Sabha proceedings began on a stormy note on the first day of the Monsoon Session. Members from the TDP, a former ally of the ruling NDA government, barged into the Well with placards and shouted "we want justice" demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh. Many Opposition leaders demanded debate on recent mob-lynching incidents.

"The government was ready to face the no-confidence motion and win it as it enjoyed a two-third majority in the House," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said.

While speaking to the media before entering the Parliament, PM urged all the parties to make most of their time in parliament and help government pass various important bills.

"I hope the Monsoon Session is a productive one and the time is properly utilised to discuss important matters. May the productivity of the forthcoming session and the rich levels of debate also become a source of inspiration for the various state assemblies”.

PM further said that the government is open to discuss any issue. “Any member, any party can raise any issue, we are all ready for proper discussions” PM said.
