New Delhi: Five bills were passed by both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha while one bill, The Personal Data Protection Bill, 2022 was withdrawn in Lok Sabha in the recently adjourned Monsoon Session 2022 of the Parliament. The Monsoon Session which commenced on July 18 was scheduled till August 12 having 18 sittings, but was adjourned sine die on August 8 due to “to completion of essential Government Business” and “demand of members in view of two gazetted and the Parliamentary holidays ahead”, read the official press release. 


As per the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, during the session, 6 Bills were introduced in Lok Sabha. While 7 Bills were passed by the Lok Sabha, 6 were passed in Rajya Sabha and one Bill was withdrawn in the Lower House of Parliament. 


A total of 5 Bills were passed by both the Houses of the Parliament which are as follows: 



  1. The Family Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2022: 

  2. The Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery System (Prohibition Of Unlawful Activities) Amendment Bill, 2022 

  3. The Indian Antarctica Bill, 2022 

  4. The National Anti-Doping Bill, 2021 

  5. The Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2022
