Martyr Aurangzeb’s mother’s heart wrenching reply on son getting Shaurya Chakra

Aurangzeb, who was from Jammu and Kashmir and was brutally killed by terrorists in Pulwama in June when he was on his way home for Eid

NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, Rifleman Aurangzeb, who was brutally killed by terrorists in Pulwama in June when he was on his way home for Eid, will also be conferred with Shaurya Chakra.

On receiving this news, his mother said: “I am happy & thankful that he is getting the Shaurya Chakra but I am sad that he is no longer there with us.”



In teary eyes, she further added that Aurangzeb’s death has shattered her.

Aurangzeb, who belonged to the 44 Rashtriya Rifles, was on way back home on June 14 to celebrate Eid when terrorists abducted him.

Hours later, his bullet-riddled body was found at Gussu village, about 10 km from Kalampora, in Pulwama district. His killing triggered widespread outrage in Kashmir.
