New Delhi: Softening stance against Shiv Sena, amid the bitter power-tussle in Maharashtra over power-sharing in the new state government, Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president Chandrakant Patil said that the party’s door are always open for Sena.

“People have given mandate to BJP-Shiv Sena alliance, we'll honour that mandate and form government. Shiv Sena is yet to give any proposal. BJP's doors are always open for Shiv Sena,” Patil said.

His statement comes as Sena on Tuesday showed no signs of reaching an agreement with BJP.

Sena also said that the political direction of Maharashtra, where the government formation is getting delayed, will depend upon the steps to be taken by "outgoing" Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Claiming to change the face of Maharashtra politics, party MP and spokesman Sanjay Raut said the state will have a "chief minister from Shiv Sena only".

Addressing a press conference today, Raut said that Shiv Sena has not caused a hungama (chaos) and can't be held responsible for non-formation of government in the state.

"This is a fight for justice and truth...victory will be ours", Raut said.
