New Delhi: As the impasse over the formation of government in Maharashtra entered 13th day on Wednesday, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that no new proposal has been sent or received, and nor will it be exchanged, with the Bharatiya Janata Party, as there was consensus between BJP and Shiv Sena before polls on sharing CM's post.

He said that no new fresh proposal has been received from and sent to BJP.

"Why waste time on new proposals. We want a discussion on what was agreed upon earlier. No new proposal has been received or sent," he said.

Targeting the party, he said those conspiring to impose President's rule are insulting people's mandate.

“We'll only have discussions on the proposal that we had agreed on before the assembly polls. No new proposals will be exchanged now. BJP and Shiv Sena had an agreement on post of CM before elections and then only we moved ahead for alliance for elections,” he said.

The BJP and the Shiv Sena are locked in a bitter tussle over sharing of the chief minister's post and ministerial portfolios in new government, even 13 days after the Assembly poll verdict handed them enough seats to cobble up a coalition government.

Meanwhile, a BJP minister in Maharashtra on Tuesday hinted at a possible breakthrough in the ongoing stand-off with the Shiv Sena over government formation, saying "good news" can come at any moment.

Later, on Tuesday night, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis flew to Nagpur on Tuesday night and met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

They won 161 seats together in the 288-member House, much above the halfway mark of 145.
