New Delhi: At a time when Maharashtra’s Latur is reeling under severe water crisis, state minister Eknath Khadse is being accused of squandering away 10,000 litres of water for creating a helipad.

Khadse could have taken the road route to Belkund which is a at a 40-minute distance from Latur city but flew on his helicopter to inaugurate a water supply system in the village. The helipad in Belkund was built for the agriculture minister’s landing.

When ABP News contacted the minister, he said that he wasn’t aware or had any information of so much of water being utilized to make a helipad in the parched region.

Quoting ABP News' tweet Eknath Khadse tweeted, "Water used for Helipad was waste from filtration plant which can't be recycled for normal use."
