Aiming for a clean sweep in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party will embark on another programme to engage party workers in the state on Saturday. The BJP's national president will start a 'Tiffin Pe Charcha' campaign from Agra and later take it to every part of the country.
Nadda's meeting will be held at a resort in Dayalbagh, Agra at 12.30 pm. About 300 workers of the party will attend the meeting. Nadda will attend a dinner with the party members after the meeting.
To mark PM Modi's nine years in office, the BJP began a month-long public outreach campaign on May 30. The 'Tiffin Pe Charcha' programme will be held along the lines of PM Modi's 'Chai Pe Charcha' campaign. Under this, MPs will hold meetings with party workers in their Lok Sabha constituencies in the second week of June.
The BJP, which launched its extensive month-long campaign, Maha Jansampark Abhiyan, on Wednesday, aims to engage with 1,000 distinguished individuals from every Lok Sabha constituency.
Vinod Tawde, the BJP's national general secretary, explained that a comprehensive list of 1,000 notable personalities from each Lok Sabha seat, all of whom have been honoured with civilian awards such as the Padma awards or president's medals during their service, has been prepared. Considering the 543 seats in Lok Sabha, this equates to an estimated 550,000 individuals who will be visited by prominent BJP leaders, including union ministers and senior party members, as part of the outreach campaign.
Tawde emphasized that the purpose of these visits is to showcase the accomplishments of the Narendra Modi-led government over the past nine years. Additionally, the BJP representatives will update the constituents on the various development projects either undertaken or completed within their respective Lok Sabha constituencies. Furthermore, public gatherings may be organized near completed infrastructure projects, such as highways and railway stations, to further engage the public.
The BJP has compiled a roster of beneficiaries from ten key Union government schemes and intends to arrange gatherings specifically for them. The party aims to reach out to approximately 800 million people across the country within the span of one month. To achieve this, a total of 227 leaders, including union ministers, party officials, and state-level leaders, will actively participate in the campaign.
