New Delhi: After much debates, Bhartiya Janta Party has come to terms with its ally LJP (Lok Janshakti Party) over the seat sharing for 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Bihar. LJP is likely to contest the elections on 5 Lok Sabha seats; whereas party Chief Paswan is likely to be sent to Rajya Sabha. The party is also likely to be given one seat in Uttar Pradesh; which will total to 7 seats. As per sources, an official announcement on seat distribution is likely to take place today in a joint press conference by BJP, LJP and JDU.

As per sources, the three allies are likely to address a press conference at 3:30pm on Saturday.

This comes after LJP Chief Paswan met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley along with his son Chiraj Paswan; where they came to a consensus over seat distribution. As per Chirag Paswan, several other issues were also discussed during the meeting.
Earlier BJP Chief Amit Shah had announced that his party and JDU will content elections on equal seats in Bihar. NDA won 31 seats in Bihar elections in 2014.

BJP Chief Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley held an hour long meeting with Ram Vilas Paswan and Chirag Paswan on Friday in order to remove their doubts. Earlier Chirag Paswan in a letter to Jaitley wrote the benefits country had after demonetization.

He had also tweeted that a delay in decision over seat sharing in Bihar could affect the NDA alliance.
