New Delhi: External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday continued to battle trolls that are just not stopping to take aims at her. The Union minister blocked a follower on Twitter today after she asked her to do so. The follower, Sonam Mahajan questioned the minister's role in the transfer of a passport department official for allegedly humiliating an inter-faith couple in Lucknow. Here's what she wrote on Twitter from her handle AsYouNotWish:

To which Swaraj shot back and said "Intezaar kyon ? Lijiye block kr diya. (Why wait? Here you go, you're blocked)"

Swaraj has been facing online abuse over a passport row involving an interfaith couple for quite a time now. She started receiving abusive tweets after the transfer of a passport officer who allegedly humiliated an inter-faith couple in Lucknow. Swaraj re-tweeted and liked many of the tweets she received. Following the trolls, she conducted a poll on Twitter yesterday asking users whether they approve such trolling to which 57 percent respondents opposed hate messages as against 43 percent who said yes.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari speaking in the favor of Swaraj said, "This is very unfortunate. She wasn't present in the country when this decision was taken. She has no connection with it & the decision isn't wrong either." While Rajnath Singh on Monday said it's "absolutely wrong" to troll Swaraj in connection with the passport issuance of an inter-faith couple. "I consider this absolutely wrong," Singh told media.
