MLA M. Vincent, who visited the scene, expressed doubts over the incident, stating that it appeared unlikely for such a young child to have accidentally fallen into the well, as it had walls surrounding it, as per a report on Asianet. He added that he rushed to the location as soon as he was informed about the event.

An investigation is ongoing with authorities examining all possible angles, including potential foul play, as per the report. Police officials have taken the girl's uncle for questioning as they attempt to uncover the sequence of events leading to the child’s death. Forensic experts are also expected to conduct a detailed examination to determine the exact cause of death.
