New Delhi: Swati Maliwal is set to remain the Chief of Delhi Commission for Women for next three years as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday extended her tenure for one more term.


Maliwal, who became the DCW chief in July 2015, will head the commission till 2021.

Maliwal, who has been seen actively raising demands and seeking justice for women at several occasions; had her tenure ending on July 27.

Kejriwal took to his Twitter and said that he has approved another term for Maliwal as she has been doing an excellent job.

Responding to the tweet, Maliwal said: "Thank you so much sir for your constant support. We will work twice as hard this term to reach our goal -- safety, dignity and equality for all women and girls of Delhi."
