New Delhi: After being questioned over his Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has now surrounded himself in a controversy after Nepal media claimed that he ordered non-vegetarian food at a restaurant. Now, the restaurant has stated the rumor to be false. The Congress on the other hand has stated the same as an attempt to hurdle the yatra.

As the row escalated, ABP News tried to find the truth behind the claims. On the website of the restaurant where Rahul stopped to eat, the restaurant had confirmed that Rahul reached the restaurant on August 31 and had a meal along with his team.

Waiter said Rahul ordered Non-veg:

The restaurant waiter in conversation with ABP News said that Rahul ordered Nevai dish which had chicken momos, chicken kurkure and Bandel dish. After waiter’s statement, it is being claimed that Gandhi has hurt religious statement by eating non-vegetarian food during yatra.

Restaurant clarifies, ‘Rahul ordered pure vegetarian food’:

The restaurant took to its Facebook and clarified that the claims that Gandhi ordered non-veg food are false.  In a statement restaurant said, a lot of enquiry is being done by media that what Rahul Gandhi ate during his yatra. We would like to clarify that he ordered pure vegetarian food after checking out the menu.



Congress says ‘this is fight between god and devils’

Lashing out at the people accusing Gandhi of consuming non-veg food; Congress has issued a statement. “When hotel has clarified that Rhaul ate pure vegetarian food, then the rest of the controversy is baseless. This is BJP’s agenda. BJP wants to put a hurdle in Rahul’s yatra. This is a fight between god and devils.”
