A bus carrying students and teachers of Vasavi School overturned near Gangavathi in Karnataka's Koppal district. Around 60 students and seven teachers sustained minor injuries in the accident while en route to Hampi and Vijayapura for an educational tour.


Authorities reported that the bus slid off the road, possibly due to early morning mist and slippery conditions. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured were treated at nearby medical facilities. All those involved were reported to be safe.


Earlier, 38 Class 10 students experienced a narrow escape after their bus toppled after their excursion in Mysuru.

Class 7 Student Dies, Several Injured As Picnic Bus Overturns


On Tuesday morning when a bus carrying students and teachers from Saraswati High School in Shankar Nagar overturned near Deoli Pendhari village on Hingani Road, killing a Class 7 student and leaving several others injured.


The group was traveling in five buses to a picnic spot in Wardha district when one of the buses with approximately 50 passengers on board met with the accident in a hilly section on the outskirts of the city, as per a report on PTI.


A girl and a teacher sustained severe injuries and were rushed to AIIMS Nagpur while others were taken to a nearby rural hospital for treatment. The identity of the deceased student has not been disclosed.


The police have initiated an investigation into the accident, with initial reports suggesting poor road conditions and negligence as possible factors
