Jharkhand: RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will be brought to Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences today. He was discharged from Delhi's AIl India Institute of Medical Sciences yesterday where he was undergoing treatment for various ailments related to heart and kidney, reported news agency ANI.

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad left AIIMS in a wheelchair after being discharged by the hospital. His condition, reportedly, had improved significantly.

However, his party termed the move a "conspiracy to murder him".

Lalu Prasad is serving a jail term in fodder scam cases.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal president had written to the AIIMS director, asking that his treatment be continued at the hospital till he recovered and urged the doctors at the institute not to act under pressure from "certain individuals or political parties", reported news agency PTI.

The hospital said in a statement that Prasad had been referred to AIIMS from the Ranchi Medical College for an "acute medical condition".

"He is currently stable and is fit to travel," it said.

The hospital said he had "improved significantly" and, according to the advice of a medical board constituted for his treatment, was being referred to the Ranchi Medical College for the management of chronic health issues, reported news agency.

Protesting the AIIMS decision, supporters of the RJD president created a ruckus in the hospital.
