The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially acknowledged that the Air Force station in Jammu was attacked by drones at midnight on Saturday and Sunday. The FIR lodged by the Air Force with the Jammu Police mentions a drone attack.


It wasn't limited to the Air Force station alone; the Kaluchak Military Station was also targeted. Fortunately, the army thwarted the potential drone attack. This is the first case of its kind in the country where drones have been used to target military bases.


1. It has come to the fore that attack drones were being operated from across the border.


2. According to sources, high-grade explosives (RDX or TNT) were used in the attack.


3. The area is visible on Google Earth, so recce was not required.


4. The attack on the Air Force station took place on the night of 27th June at 1:37 am.


5. Six minutes after the first attack, the second drone attack was carried out.


6. Investigation agencies didn't recover any part of the drone used in the attack.


7. It is suspected that after the attack, both drones returned and landed safely.


8. Drones were seen in the Ratnuchak-Kaluchak military area last night.


9. Drones have already been used for weapons.


10. This is the first time that drones have been used for an attack in India.
