Jammu: At least two Indian Air Force personnel were injured while the roof of a building was damaged after two low-intensity explosions were reported early Sunday morning in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station. The area was immediately sealed by security forces and probe was initiated in what is suspected to be a terror attack.
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Sunday termed the twin explosions at the high-security Indian Air Force station in the Jammu airport a terror attack. The first blast ripped off the roof of a single-storey building at the technical area of the airport manned by the IAF in the Satwari area of the city. The second one was on the ground, officials said. He informed that police, IAF, and other agencies and investigating the attack.

Several media reports have claimed that helicopters of the Indian Air Force at technical area near the hangars were at the target.
Sources keeping track of the development in the case have informed that investigating officials have accessed a CCTV footage. The authorities are also investigating a possible role of Pakistan based terrorist outfit.
Meanwhile, J&K Police in a statement said that an FIR registered under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act after two low-intensity explosions were reported earlier today at the Jammu Air Force Station. Investigation is underway
IAF Chief, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, who is in Bangladesh on an official visit, is constantly monitoring the situation. Necessary instructions passed for probe into the matter.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar meanwhile took review meeting with BCAS, NSG, IAF, CRPF, BSF, CISF, Director Airport, DIG Central Kashmir Range & SSP Budgam to discuss security situation at airport, and countermeasures.
