At Tekri Nar in the Machil neighbourhood of Kupwara on Sunday, two terrorists were neutralised by the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police close to the Line of Control (LoC), news agency ANI reported.
The police said that they killed some unnamed terrorists, but they had also found multiple weapons and ammo in their hands.
Taking to Twitter, Kashmir Police Zone stated: "Army and Kupwara Police neutralised two #terrorists near #LoC Tekri Nar in Machil area of #Kupwara. Identification of the killed terrorists being ascertained. 02 AK 47 rifles, 02 pistols & 04 hand grenades recovered."
Earlier on Saturday, terrorists fired upon two labourers from Bihar at Kharpora Ratnipora area in Pulwama.
According to the report, the injured have been shifted to the hospital where their condition is stated to be stable, Jammu and Kashmir Police said.
A week back, Bandipora Police arrested three persons allegedly involved in the murder of a migrant labourer a month back, and recovered a pistol in their workplace.
As per Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora Mohammad Zahid Malik, the arrested accused - Waseem Ahmad, Yawar Ahmad, and Muzamil Ahmad - were among the suspects summoned for interrogation over the course of the inquiry.
After prolonged interrogation, police zeroed in on the trio, who then admitted to killing Mohammad Amreez. Police also recovered a gun that had been used in the crime.
