Jammu: Pakistan is at it again. The neighboring country on Monday resorted to unprovoked firing and violated ceasefire, by shelling with mortars and firing of small arms at Line of Control; which claimed the life of one Indian soldier.
An Indian soldier was martyred on Monday in Pakistan firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, defence sources said.
He was killed during a ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army in the Sunderbani sector.
"A soldier was killed and four others injured when Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation around 5.30 a.m. today. The Indian Army retaliated effectively," the sources said.
The ceasefire violation also left 3 soldiers injured. Indian army is giving a befitting reply.
Earlier, on 6:30 pm on Sunday Pakistani troops violated ceasefire triggering a strong response from the Indian Army. This came after Pakistan on Wednesday violated ceasefire in Poonch sector of the state.
