A Dibrugarh-bound Indigo flight made an emergency landing due to a technical glitch at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati on Sunday morning, as reported by the news agency ANI. The flight 6E2652 was diverted to Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport after the pilot announced a snag in the engine of the aircraft. A total of 150 passengers were travelling on the flight including Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Rameswar Teli, and two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs Prasanta Phukan and Terash Gowalla when it made an emergency landing.
Speaking to ANI, the Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas said that the flight was in the air for 15 to 20 minutes before it got diverted to Dibrugarh.
Rameshwar Teli said, "I was on the Indigo flight along with BJP MLAs Prashant Phukan and Terash Gowala. The flight was in the air for 15 to 20 minutes before being diverted to Dibrugarh Airport in Guwahati. We are all safe," as quoted by ANI. The airport authority also confirmed the emergency landing of the flight.

In another incident, a Saudia Airlines cargo flight made an emergency landing at Kolkata airport on April 15 after the pilot reported that a windshield cracked mid-air. The aircraft landed safely at Kolkata airport at 12:02 pm, airport officials said, as reported by news agency ANI.
