New Delhi: If you are planning to go home for Diwali and Chhath Puja, you need not worry about a confirmed seat in the train. Several festive special trains have been announced by the Indian Railways.


These trains are being run keeping in view those going to UP and Bihar (UP-Bihar Special Train List).


According to an official statement by Northern Railway, these trains will start operating from October 25. Make sure to book as soon as possible. Check the list of festive special trains here:


Train No- 01678 (New Delhi-Gaya Festive Special Train)



  • This train will run from New Delhi to Gaya.

  • This train will be operated 2 days in a week.

  • The train will run every Monday and Friday from October 25, 2021 to November 19, 2021.

  • It will leave New Delhi at 8.10 am and reach Gaya at 00.30 am the next day. 


Train No- 01677 Gaya- New Delhi Festive Special Train



  • This train will leave from Gaya back to Delhi.

  • This train will be run for 2 days a week.

  • The train will operate every Tuesday and Saturday from October 26, 2021 to November 20, 2021.

  • The train will leave Gaya at 07.00 am and reach New Delhi at 11.35 pm on the same day.


Train No- 09189 (Bandra Terminus-Hazrat Nizamuddin Superfast Festive Special Train)



  • This train will also run for two days a week.

  • The train will operate between October 27, 2021 and November 28, 2021.

  • The train will operate every Sunday and Wednesday.

  • It will depart from Bandra Terminus at 05.30 pm and arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 10.15 am the next day.


Train No- 09190 (Hazrat Nizamuddin-Bandra Terminus Superfast Festive Special Train)



  • For return you will have to travel by train number 09190.

  • You will be able to travel by this train from October 28, 2021 to November 29, 2021.

  • The train will operate two days in a week on Monday and Thursday.

  • It will leave Nizamuddin at 04.30 pm and reach Bandra Terminus at 09.15 am the next day.


Train No- 06239 (Yeshwantpur-Chandigarh Superfast Special Train)



  • This train will also be operated for two days in a week.

  • The train will run from November 3, 2021 till further notice.

  • You can travel on this train every Wednesday and Saturday.

  • The train will run from Yeshwantpur to Chandigarh.

  • The train will depart at 01.55 pm and will arrive at Chandigarh on the third day at 3.50 pm.

  • In return, you will have to travel by train number 06240.

  • The return train will leave Chandigarh at 06.05 am. 


Train No- 09817/09818 (Kota Junction-Danapur-Kota Junction Festive Special Train)



  • The train will run on November 2, November 5 and November 11.

  • The train will departure from Kota at 01.40 pm and reach Danapur at 03.30 pm the next day.

  • In return you will have to travel by train number 09818.

  • The train will operate on November 3, November 6, November 12.

  • The train will departure from Danapur at 05.40 pm and reach Kota at 07.30 pm the next day.


Train No - 09523 (Delhi-Okha Festive Train)



  • The Okha-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Okha weekly special train will be operated during the festive season.

  • The train will be operated from October 26 to November 30.

  • It will leave Okha at 10.00 hrs every Tuesday and reach Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 10.10 hours on Wednesday.


Train No- 09191 (Bandra-SubedarGanj Festive Train)



  • The train will operate from October 27 to November 24, 2021.

  • The train will leave Bandra Terminus at 7.25 pm and reach Subedarganj at 10.20 pm the next day.

  • In return you can travel by train number 09192.

  • The train will run from October 29 to November 26, 2021.

  • This train will be operated every Friday.

  • It will start from Subedarganj at 6 am and reach Bandra Terminus at 11.55 am the next day.
