New Delhi: India reported 2,487 fresh Covid-19 cases, and 2,878 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in an update on Sunday, May 15.
The country's active caseload currently stands at 17,692. The cumulative number of recoveries in India is 4,25,79,693. The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.
With 13 fresh deaths occurring on Saturday, the total number of deaths that have occurred in India so far is 5,24,214.
The total number of tests conducted in the last 24 hours is 4,05,156.
As many as 1,91,32,94,864 Covid-19 vaccines have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
The daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 0.61 and 0.62 per cent, respectively.
A total of 84.38 tests have been conducted so far. Covid-19 vaccination for the age group 12 to 14 years started on March 16. As many as 3,17,42,189 adolescents have been administered with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine so far.
The Central government has provided 1,93,53,58,865 vaccine doses to states and union territories so far through free of cost channel as well as through direct state procurement category.
As many as 17,35,69,285 Covid-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories to be administered.
On Saturday, Delhi announced 1,074 survivors of Covid-19. The total number of recoveries in Delhi was 18,69,617 on Saturday. Covid-19 positivity in the national capital declined to 2.77 per cent.
