Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) leader Sanjay Raut said on Wednesday that the meeting to discuss the seat-sharing formula for Lok Sabha elections 2024 will take place at the residence of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on September 13.

"Coordination committee was constituted during the meeting (of INDIA alliance) in Mumbai. It will hold a meeting on September 13 at Sharad Pawar's residence in Delhi where we will discuss the seat-sharing formula and how a campaign will be started,” Raut told PTI.

This comes after the India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A.) parties announced their resolution to jointly contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 during their Mumbai meeting.

This move aims to present a united front and prioritise the issues of public concern. The announcement, made on Friday, September 1, comes as a "collaborative" signal of effort by the I.N.D.I.A. bloc. One of the key aspects of the I.N.D.I.A. resolution adopted today was the initiation of seat-sharing arrangements in different states.

I.N.D.I.A. parties have committed to organising public rallies across various regions. These rallies will serve as platforms for addressing the concerns and aspirations of the population and also showcasing a sense of unity by the opposition.

In an effort to streamline its messaging and outreach, the I.N.D.I.A. bloc in its Mumbai resolution has said to coordinate its communications and media strategies. Under the theme "Judega Bharat, Jeetega India, (India will unite, India will win)".

"...the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to coordinate our respective communications and media strategies and campaigns with the theme Judega Bharat, Jiteega India in different languages," the resolution of I.N.D.I.A. bloc mentioned.

The leaders of 27 opposition parties have been in a huddle in Mumbai for over two days to finalise plans to fight against the BJP-led NDA in the upcoming general elections. In their third meeting, the I.N.D.I.A. bloc has come out with a coordination committee to start working on the seat sharing by September end.
