A major fire broke out in a three-storey building in Maharajganj, located in the bustling Begum Bazar area of Hyderabad, earlier on Thursday. Emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the scene as thick plumes of smoke engulfed the structure.

Firefighting personnel are currently engaged in intensive operations to bring the blaze under control. As part of the rescue efforts, a woman trapped inside the building was successfully evacuated by fire service officials. The extent of injuries or damage is yet to be confirmed.
A fire official told ANI, "We cannot tell the cause of the fire as of now. We suspect that it may be a short circuit. It started on the first floor of the building. It is a G+3 floor building. So, the entire building is on fire...Firefighting operation is going on...Six fire tenders are here, including robo...When we reached the building, there were 8 people in the building. We rescued them with our ladders. Among 8, there were 2 minors. They have been shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. I think they are stable now..."
Authorities have cordoned off the area and several fire tenders have been deployed to tackle the flames. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage, and a detailed investigation will be conducted once the situation is under control.
