The 9,525 kg bomb was dropped in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan. The Khorasan Module of ISIS, which as per reports has been vanished by the US Military, has been behind several attacks in India as well.

Khorasan Module begind Bhopal train accident:
The National Investigation Agency held ISIS’ Khorasan Module responsible for the Bhopal train tragedy which injured 8 people in March. Not just NIA, even Madhya Pradesh police claimed to have found few evidences which established the fact that attackers were hand-in-glove with ISIS.
The evidence found by the cops during investigation of the Bhopal train blast include a pipe bomb which has ‘Islamic state, we are in India’ and Abu Bakr’s name written on it with a sketch pen.
According to the UP police, the attackers also uploaded the picture of the bomb on social media via their handlers.
What is ISIS Khorasan Module?
- The module consists of senior Al-Qaeda members operating from Syria, and doesn’t have a large numbers of fighters
- The mastermind of the attack is GM Khan who was earlier working in the Air Force. As per sources, GM Khan educated the other members of the module about ISIS via books and texts. He also made an arrangement of weapons and the explosives that the module would require for the attack
- Khorasan Module also took responsibility of the attack on the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Pakistan which killed 75 people
- The module was first formed in 2012, it is being said that the module could pose a threat to the United States in future
- The term Khorasan is derived from historic region corresponding to parts of Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan
