The controversy surrounding Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham is gaining traction. The case, which began with accusations of witchcraft and superstition, has progressed to conversion. In the country, the debate over Sanatan Dharma against Christianity-Islam has heated up. People linked with Sant Samaj and Hindu organisations, on the other side, are coming forward to support Bageshwar Dham Baba. Many BJP heavyweights, including Kailash Vijayvargiya and Kapil Mishra, have come out in favour of Baba Bageshwar.

Kapil Mishra of the BJP backed Shastri in the most recent scandal, claiming that everything is happening because he is preventing conversion. Additionally, he stated that the anti-Hindu and anti-national group will eventually experience nausea. Kapil Mishra said, The point is that whoever speaks against religious conversion, against love jihad, will be falsely accused and attacked. This is the reason behind the attacks against Bageshwar Maharaj. That's why we're with them."

Bageshwar Dham Sarkar received backing from BJP national secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, who questioned the anti-superstition group that had opposed him.

In an interview with the media in Burhanpur, Vijayvargiya stated that he had seen his statement that he did not perform any miracles or magic on television. He professes faith in God and adopts the name of the God who provides solutions to people's difficulties.

Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, is reportedly meeting with Dhirendra Shastri today. Before heading to the village, he added, "People achieve things. Examples of this include Lord Buddha and Ramakrishna Paramhansa. While accomplishments cannot be disputed, miracles should not be displayed since they are the work of magicians. That is unfair. Additionally, sages have advised against using accomplishments to demonstrate miracles. The healing meeting's miracle is also this. Inertia results from this. Those who accept the commitment to preserve religion are deceiving themselves."
