New Delhi: Reportedly, Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has decided to rename his terror outfit JuD as Milli Muslim League Pakistan and register it as his own political party. Sources say that he will be registering his political party with the Election Commission of Pakistan. The mastermind behind the Mumbai attacks, Saeed, is likely to launch his political outfit on Pakistan's Independence Day at a function in Lahore.

Recently, Pakistan elected its new Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi after Nawaz Sharif was disqualified from his post over Panama Papers scandal. Now, after the election, the registering of this party is seen as a major happening. Hafiz is known to have close relations with Pakistan army and ISI.

On the other side, the house arrest of Jamaat-ud-Dawa's chief Hafiz Saeed was recently extended by the government of Pakistan's Punjab province. The arrest of his four aides was also extended for two more months for their activities that were detrimental to peace and security.
