While the entire nation is fighting a deadly battle against Coronavirus with doctors being our frontline warriors, the Armed Forces on Sunday came up with a heartwarming gesture to felicitated health workers and all the other servicemen amid COVID-19 pandemic.


Highly moved away with the heartwarming gesture by the officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude towards the Jawans for their special initiatives like flypasts, showering flower petals and several other performances to extend their support to the doctors, nurses, police and other corona warriors.

Taking to his personal Twitter handle, PM Modi said, "Saluting those who are at the forefront, bravely fighting COVID-19. Great gesture by our armed forces."


 This special initiative was also appreciated by  Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who said, "I thank the Armed Forces for their special initiatives like flypasts, showering flower petals and several other performances to express gratitude towards medical professionals, police and other frontline warriors."



In the evening, Navy ships docked at major ports, including Mumbai and Chennai, will be lit up. Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat on Friday announced that the three services will carry out a series of activities to thank the "corona warriors".


This was not the first time when the doctors, nurses, police personnel were showed collective solidarity for their devoted services during the pandemic. The show of gratitude for health workers started in March when Prime Minister requested the nation to clap hands, bang thaalis, tourch Diyas and candles from balconies.
