New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the Global Patidar Business Summit (GPBS) today being organised by Sardardham. The summit, which will be held in Surat, will be inaugurated by PM Modi at 12 noon today. 


The three-day summit which will be held from April 29 to May 1 will cover various aspects of government industrial policy, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Start-ups, and innovation among others. 


Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister informed about inaugurating the summit and said that it is aimed at “encouraging entrepreneurship and value creation among the youth.”


 






As per the Prime Minister’s Office, the Sardardham is organising GPBS under ‘Mission 2026’ to provide an impetus to the socio-economic development of the Patidar community. 


The summit is held every two years where the first two summits were organised in Gandhinagar in 2018 and 2020, and the current summit being held at Surat. The main theme of Global Patidar Business Summit 2022 is “Aatmanirbhar Community Aatmanirbhar Gujarat and India.” 


The Summit aims to bring together small, medium and large enterprises within the community; nurture and support new entrepreneurs and provide training and employment assistance to the educated youth, stated the PMO.

PM Modi is also scheduled to speak at the SemiconIndia 2022 event today at 11 am. The event aims to “bring together various different stakeholders including start ups from the world of semiconductors,” tweeted the Prime Minister. “This is a sector in which India is making rapid strides,” he wrote further.
