From The Court Archives: Trial Court Analysis Of Approver Statement That Led To Savarkar's Acquittal In Mahatma Gandhi Assassination Case

The Delhi High Court e-Museum has recently made available on its website the original judgment passed by the trial court in Mahatma Gandhi Assassination case.

On January 20, 1948, at about 5 pm at Birla House, New Delhi, Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead by Nathuram V. Godse. The assassination of one of the tallest world leaders of the time, within months of the country's hard-earned Independence from the British, had shocked the world.
