J&K, April 2:  As the number of Covid 19 deaths in India continue to spike, there are patients who are recovering from this deadly virus as well. The first case of Covid 19 detected in the state of Jammu and Kashmir has recovered and returned home but asked to remain in self-quarantine for 28 days. The first case of corona infection was reported on 18 March in Srinagar. A 65-year-old woman who returned to the state from Saudi Arabia was the first case of Covid 19 . She was admitted to Sher-A-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar for 14 days and has completely recovered after the treatment. The patient was discharged from the hospital after being tested negative for the tests thrice. The recovery of the patient has sent across the message that the disease can be defeated if precautions are taken and advisories are followed. The number of cases is still rising and taken the toll to 62 so far, of which 50 are from the valley and 12 belong to Jammu region.
