Mumbai: Nearly nine months after a major fire claimed 14 lives in Kamala Mills compound in central Mumbai Friday morning, a minor fire again triggered panic at the same complex this morning.

The incident took place at Tamasha pub located on the ground floor of a building near the Kamala Mills compound around 11.30 am, a senior official of the Disaster Management Cell of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) told news agency PTI.

The official said the blaze was triggered by short-circuit which was extinguished within minutes.

"The fire was doused even before the fire brigade team arrived," he told PTI.

There were no reports of loss to life or property.

Vikram Kharvi, a Twitter user, uploaded the video of black smoke emerging from the site of fire. He wrote the fire broke out near Faty Bao pub.

The deadly inferno at the Mojo's Bistro and 1 Above pub at Kamala Mills in Lower Parel last December killed 14 persons injuring several others.
